Who We Are [IT Onboarding and Asset Management]

The Employee Tech IT Onboarding and IT Asset Management team, part of IT Shared Services, is responsible for ensuring all global new hires and internal employee transfers have all the technology they need when they start their new role with Wayfair as well as ensuring governance of the hardware management in Europe. Activities include administration of the IT asset inventory within the ServiceNow platform, collaborating with external processes and teams to include IT Procurement, IT Finance, Vendor Management in the collection of critical attributes supporting the effective and timely management of IT assets through their lifecycle.  This includes, but is not limited to; hardware sourcing and deployment, new hire onboarding and support, process efficiency implementations, and internal audit reporting.

We are looking for a high-energy, critical-thinking team member, who is dedicated to helping their manager drive growth, productivity, and results, while upholding the main goal of delivering great service to Wayfairians. This role is for someone who is comfortable working part time and helping Wayfair deliver results in the Onboarding and Assets space.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage onboarding inventory and stock of necessary computer hardware and peripheral accessories.
  • Improve the lifecycle of IT assets, including inventory, assignment, stockroom, harvesting, and disposal.
  • Utilize the ServiceNow Hardware/IT Asset Management product to execute or support regular audits of physical assets.
  • Create and publish monthly status inventories and usage positions, including global IT assets.
  • Drive continuous process improvements and partner with asset owners to ensure accurate and up-to-date asset information throughout the hardware lifecycle.
  • Maintain required component and emergency spare inventory levels at Berlin, DE, London, GBR, and Galway, IRE.
  • Support and lead orientation sessions to get new hires operational on their Day 1.
  • Ensure all New Hire Information is entered correctly and fulfilled, coordinating with the Global shipping vendor for fulfillment once fully implemented.
  • Work with 3rd party contractor agencies and Wayfair Talent Acquisition on new hire issues.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to meet hiring forecasts and coordinate on new hire onboarding.
  • Help the team meet or surpass established KPI goals (SLA, end-user survey, hardware metrics, NPS, etc.) for task completion.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users and co-workers across multiple platforms and mediums (email, instant messaging, phone, ticket updates, and in-person).
  • Utilize critical problem-solving skills to prioritize work and pivot on daily tasks.
  • Implement creative solutions to deliver better service.
  • Build relationships with 3rd party vendors to support computer hardware sourcing.

 

What You’ll Need

  • ITIL knowledge
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience with CMDB, JAMF, and Intune. 
  • Experience with the full IT asset lifecycle.
